چکیده

Abstract BACKGROUND Malignant paediatric nervous system tumours, such as medulloblastoma, ATRT and high-risk neuroblastoma commonly harbour tumour cells with stem-like features which are highly tumorigenic resistant to conventional therapies. These tumours can exhibit high lethality may result in severe sequelae that significantly affect patients' quality of life. Oncolytic virotherapy exploits viruses preferentially infect destroy cells. present a unique advantage targeting heterogeneous cancers they possess secondary mechanism action, through induce an anti-tumoral immune response. The Zika virus (ZIKV) is capable infecting destroying aggressive human brain vitro. ZIKV effectively reduces size mice (xenograft model) canines (naturally occurring) response against canine tumours. METHODS Employing global expression omics profiling infection mapping viral protein-host protein interactions, we aim elucidate the mechanisms underpin ZIKVs therapeutic properties, both at molecular cellular pathway levels. RESULTS Through extensive transcriptome ZIKV-infected tumour, NPCs, have identified variety pathways involved oncolytic its neuro-dysregulation NPCs. Despite undergoing ZIKV-induced oncolysis, observed there be within these different level lead oncolysis. Additionally, infected demonstrate elevated profiles alludes raise patient’s body tumour. Analysing our findings alongside observe NPCs allowing us build safety profile for employing ZIKV-based therapy, whilst contributing growing knowledge Congenital Syndrome.

Oncolytic Virotherapy in Cancer

Oncolytic viruses are natural or genetically modified viral species that selectively infect and kill neoplastic cells. Oncolytic viruses as highly targeted agents that would mediate cancer cell-autonomous anticancer effects. The therapeutic potential of oncolytic virotherapy is not a simple consequence of the cytopathic effect, but strongly relies on the induction of an endogenous immune respon...

Cancer virotherapy: Targeting cancer cells by microRNA mechanism for selective replication of oncolytic viruses in these cells

Cancer, as one of the most serious public health problems, is the second-leading cause of death in the world after cardiovascular disease. The number of patients and the resulting mortality are increasing worldwide; therefore, early diagnosis, prevention, and effective treatment of cancer are very important. Current treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy are often non-selective a...

Oncolytic virotherapy for ovarian cancer

In the past two decades, more than 20 viruses with selective tropism for tumor cells have been developed as oncolytic viruses (OVs) for treatments of a variety of malignancies. Of these viruses, eleven have been tested in human ovarian cancer models in preclinical studies. So far, nine phase I or II clinical trials have been conducted or initiated using four different types of OVs in patients w...
